Warranty
All work performed by User Friendly PC as well as any parts installed by User Friendly PC include a warranty. User Friendly PC does not sell extended warranties as we believe that is an unfair practice against the consumer. Extended warranties are a gamble against the product failing within a given amount of time. We use quality parts to begin with and therefore feel that offering extended warranties to our customers would in fact be taking unfair advantage of them.
Service (No Fix 100% Guarantee)
If for any reason (other than declination by customer), we are unable to repair any PC, there will not be a charge for labor. What this means is:
- If for some reason, our tech does not possess the necessary technical knowledge or ability to repair the problem, then there is no charge.
- If our tech is able to repair the problem, but is only prevented from doing so by the customer requesting the tech not proceed with the work, the customer is charged for the time spent up to that point.
- If our tech is able to repair the problem, but is prevented from doing so because the customer does not possess the required software, CD-Rom or Product Key, the customer is charged for the time spent up to that point.
- If our tech provides a clear diagnosis of a failed component and the customer decides not to proceed with replacement of the component, the customer is charged for the time spent up to that point.
Labor (Software)
Software related labor carries a thirty (30) day warranty. Should any problem occur during this time from thirty (30) days of the date of invoice, User Friendly PC will repair the problem free of charge. This warranty does not include errors from software installed after the date of invoice.
The following conditions will VOID the warranty:
- Accessing Porn Sites.
- The use of Peer-to-Peer applications.
- Downloading Rogue Programs.
- Pirated Software
These activities offer a high chance of getting a virus. If any of these are found on the system the warranty is then voided and the problem is considered a new issue. If User Friendly PC technicians find the computer has been tampered with outside of normal use of the computer then the warranty is also voided.
We do not warranty individual software programs. They may be covered by the manufacturer software warranty.
Labor (Hardware)
Hardware related labor carries a warranty equal to the hardware warranty. User Friendly PC will repair the problem free of charge for the length of the original hardware warranty from the date of invoice. Unless otherwise stated, all hardware installed by User Friendly PC comes with a one (1) year warranty from the date of invoice.
Hardware
Unless otherwise stated, All NEW hardware purchased from User Friendly PC and installed by User Friendly PC comes with a one (1) year warranty including labor. Hardware supplied by the customer but installed by User Friendly PC is NOT covered by our warranty. If User Friendly PC technicians find the computer has been tampered with or damaged outside of normal use of the computer then the warranty is also voided. Hardware subjected to neglect, misuse, liquid damage, unreasonable wear and tear and the like, are not eligible for return.
The Fine Print
It is the policy of User Friendly PC to treat all customers fairly. Any and all claims, disputes, or controversies of any nature whatsoever will be reviewed by management taking into considerations all aspects of the issue on a case by case basis. Decisions made by management are binding.
